Our Karate and Jujutsu system

The Karate and Jujutsu taught in Bushinkai is called Hakuda Kempo Toshu Jutsu. This is the original Okinawan method of Karate (Toshu Jutsu) intertwined with the brutally effective Japanese Jujutsu known as Hakuda Kempo.

We do not teach sport Karate nor do we teach Brazilian ‘Ju Jitsu’ – our Karate and Jujutsu is direct from the masters of Japan, Okinawa, China and Malaysia.

With grandmasters Tose and Yoshida

Bushinkai headteacher Shihan Simon Keegan has trained with some of the world’s leading masters of Karate and Jujutsu in order to get close to the source of this effective fighting art.

We also have an affiliated Aikido school with direct lineage to the founder, based in the Isle of Man.
